"The most captivating aspect of my artistic process is creating dialogue—whether visual, imaginary, or tactile. This dialogue could be with a master, an era, nature, a specific artwork, an individual, myself, or, most importantly, with the viewer. The essence remains the same.
From my days as a philosophy student, I’ve embraced Socrates' idea that “truth is born in dispute.” In my work, I don’t aim for conflict but rather for dialogue, believing that through this exchange, something new can emerge".
Tatiana Zaytseva

Tatiana Zaytseva presents her first major sculptural solo exhibition at Miami International Fine Arts. Curated by internationally renowned curator and art theorist Paco Barragán, the exhibition reimagines iconic forms of Western sculpture through the use of cardboard—a humble yet powerful material—revealing space as a living, generative force.
‘Her investigation extends beyond art history to explore pressing philosophical, ecological, and gender-based issues, posing critical questions: How does the spectator perceive highly iconic artworks from the past when executed in an unheroic, “un-male” material like cardboard?—suggests curator Paco Barragán.
On view April 5–26, 2025.
Opening reception: April 5, 6-9 pm.

"For me, art is a continuous dialogue—a reflection of life itself, a world where art becomes both everything and nothing, a constant cycle of birth and death. An ever-evolving exchange between the seen and the unseen, where materials, ideas, and emotions intertwine to invite reflection, challenge perceptions, and reveal the deepest truths of ourselves".
Tatiana Zaytseva
"Tatiana Zaytseva's art engages with a diverse spectrum of interlocutors—whether they are historical masters, nature, specific artworks, or her own internal reflections. Each piece she creates is a conversation, a moment of exchange where the viewer is invited to participate. This dialogic approach makes her work both intimate and expansive, drawing the viewer into a shared space of exploration and discovery.
Her art stands as a testament to the belief that through dialogue, we can transcend the ordinary and catch a glimpse of the extraordinary. Her work encourages us to question, reflect, and engage in thoughtful exchanges that lead to new insights and deeper understanding. As a curator, it is a privilege to present her work, knowing that each piece is an open-ended conversation, awaiting continuation by those who encounter it.”
